About Lawndale, NC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located in Cleveland County, North Carolina, Lawndale is a small town with about 600 residents. The community is also small geographically, consisting of less than one square mile of total space. Lawndale is situated along the First Broad River and is close to many other communities. It is a short drive to Forest City and Boiling Springs, and Asheville is about 70 miles west. Charlotte, North Carolina is also less than an hour away along I-85S.

Despite being a small town, there are a few interesting places to visit in Lawndale. Baker Buffalo Creek Vineyard offers wine tastings and hosts parties and events throughout the year. During the autumn months around Halloween, the Haunted Pyramids become a major attraction for locals in need of a scare. The Lawndale Historical Museum is also found here, and it includes the restored Lawndale Railway boxcar and many other items of significance.

Outdoor recreation is popular in this Piedmont region of the U.S., and varied weather conditions provide for many different activities. The summers here are hot and humid, and many days see thermostat readings exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Central air conditioning systems are now preferred to window units in Lawndale, as they can cool an entire home consistently rather than a single room. Plus, central air conditioners are easy to operate, as users simply adjust the programmable thermostat to their ideal indoor temperature.

Outside activities can also be enjoyed during the winter months, and while snowfall is minimal, the area experiences mild daytime temperatures. Daytime highs average at about 50 degrees Fahrenheit in January, which is the coldest month of the year. Cold fronts with lower temperatures and freezing conditions overnight are also common, so it is important that residents plan ahead with the right gas or electric furnace, specifically one with a high AFUE rating.
