About Gaffney, SC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Gaffney is a town located in Upstate South Carolina, and it is often called the “Peach Capital of South Carolina”. It is the seat of Cherokee County and was home to roughly 12,800 residents as of 2017. Gaffney is situated 50 miles northeast of Greenville and 55 miles southwest of Charlotte, North Carolina. Its convenient location allows Gaffney to offer both small city charm as well as easy access to larger communities. This region of South Carolina also had a prominent role in the American Revolutionary War, which is commemorated to this day at the Limestone Springs Memorial and the Cowpens National Battlefield. Today, Gaffney is a great place to live and raise a family, and it is even home to higher educational opportunities at Limestone College and Spartanburg Community College.

There are many interesting places to visit in Gaffney. One of the most noteworthy is the famous Peachoid – a 1 million gallon water tank shaped like a peach. Art enthusiasts will love to check out Limestone Galleries and the Cherokee County History and Arts Museum, while those who prefer the performing arts might like to visit the Gaffney Little Theatre or the Limestone College Theatre. Other popular recreational spots in Gaffney include Perry’s Fishing Lakes, the Cherokee Speedway, The Big E Entertainment Outlet, and Rollerland of Gaffney.

Climate control needs in Gaffney will vary with the changing of the seasons. Summer weather here is hot and muggy. Daytime highs frequently surpass 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and with high humidity levels, it is important that residents prepare with the right home cooling system. Central air conditioners offer consistent cooling throughout an entire space, and they don’t interfere with the security of a home.

Winter weather in Gaffney requires a heat pump or electric or natural gas furnace. Temperatures fall to the low-30s overnight nearly 60 days per year, on average. While daytime highs are cool to mild, it is still important that residents service their home heating systems to ensure they work properly when required.
